As Indonesia’s primary export-import hub for vehicles, how do you see automotive logistics evolving over the next 3–5 years, and what strategic investments is IPCC making to stay ahead of this transformation?
Over the next 3 to 5 years, we expect an exciting transformation in automotive logistics, characterized by remarkable diversity and growth. This evolution will be fueled by the expanding range of vehicles we handle, from conventional models to cutting-edge electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrids. The landscape will become even more vibrant as a wave of new automotive manufacturers from around the globe enters the market, leading to increased volumes and the fascinating challenge of managing more complex logistics services.
In response to these thrilling changes, IPCC is embarking on a journey of strategic investments. We are dedicated to enhancing our IT systems to support seamless digitalization and service integration, ensuring we stay ahead of the curve. Plus, we’re expanding and optimizing our yard capacity to accommodate the anticipated growth in vehicle volumes, creating a more efficient and responsive logistics network.
Furthermore, IPCC is also keen on exploring strategic partnerships and potential acquisitions. By broadening our end-to-end service offerings, we aim to provide our clients with fully integrated logistics solutions that guide them effortlessly from the beginning to the end of the supply chain process. Together, we’re excited to navigate this dynamic automotive landscape and contribute to a brighter future for the industry!
With operations expanding beyond Tanjung Priok to key ports such as Belawan, Pontianak, Makassar, and Balikpapan, what are the key operational and infrastructure challenges in scaling a world-class car terminal ecosystem across such a diverse geography?
As we embark on the exciting journey of expanding our operations to prominent ports like Belawan, Pontianak, Makassar, Balikpapan, dan Banjarmasin we’re faced with some important challenges that we view as opportunities for growth. Each of these unique ports brings its own set of operational characteristics, from yard capacities to channel depths and support from the surrounding regions. This diversity inspires us to develop tailored strategies that honor the specific needs of each location.
The fundamental aspect of our mission is to uphold consistent operational standards and exceptional service quality. We want every experience to reflect world-class terminal performance—whether it’s enhancing loading and unloading productivity, ensuring vehicle security, or guaranteeing system reliability. To support our vision of growth, we are dedicated to investing thoughtfully in facilities, cutting-edge equipment, and the development of our talented workforce, all while adapting to evolving customer needs.
We believe that by implementing integrated systems like PTOS-C and fostering strong coordination with regulators and local stakeholders, we can create a harmonious and standardized car terminal ecosystem across our network of ports. With a demand-driven development strategy at our core, we are not just focused on expansion; we’re committed to building a brighter, more efficient future for everyone involved. Together, we’re confident that we can cultivate a thriving, competitive landscape for our car terminals that benefits our customers, employees, and the communities we serve.
Through Sea Toll Services and multimodal integration, IPCC supports Indonesia’s national logistics efficiency goals. How is IPCC aligning sustainability, cost efficiency, and service reliability to build a greener and more resilient automotive supply chain?
In support of the Government’s Sea Toll program and to create a more efficient national logistics system, IPCC has developed satellite terminals across various regions of Indonesia. In addition, IPCC implements a bundled tariff scheme to create cost efficiency and streamline the service chain within Indonesia’s car terminal operations. This strategy aims to enhance interregional connectivity while reducing overall logistics costs.
In aligning sustainability with business objectives, IPCC remains committed to maintaining profitability as a publicly listed company, with the responsibility to deliver added value to its investors and shareholders. Therefore, every business line managed by IPCC must be commercially viable and contribute positively to the Company’s financial performance.
To support a greener automotive supply chain, the IPCC has implemented the Green Port program as part of its commitment to environmental sustainability. This program focuses on energy efficiency, emission reduction, and environmentally friendly operational optimization. Meanwhile, to become a more resilient and competitive company, IPCC is enhancing its end-to-end service capabilities to offer integrated solutions throughout the entire service process.
IPCC is strongly focused on digitalisation and ecosystem integration through platforms like PTOS-C. How is this digital transformation reshaping terminal efficiency, visibility, and service quality across your expanding port network?
IPCC is embracing the future with an exciting focus on digitalization and ecosystem integration. At the heart of this transformation is PTOS-C, a cutting-edge system designed specifically for vehicle terminals. This all-in-one solution connects seamlessly with relevant authorities and customers, empowering them to track the real-time location of their cargo effortlessly.
This shift towards digital not only streamlines operations but also revitalizes terminal efficiency. With process automation, faster loading and unloading services, and optimized yard utilization, we’re setting new standards in operational excellence!
But that’s not all—our integrated system fosters a sense of community among all stakeholders by offering real-time data visibility. This transparency enhances planning accuracy and supports informed decision-making, ensuring everyone is on the same page. Digitalization at IPCC transforms service quality, speeding up processes, minimizing errors, and making it easier for customers to access vital information across our ever-expanding port network.
Together, we’re not just advancing technology; we’re building a brighter and more connected future for our customers and partners!
With global trade facing unprecedented disruptions, what is your outlook for 2026, and how is IPCC preparing to turn uncertainty into strategic advantage?
In 2026, IPCC introduces a new tagline, “Integrated Auto Solutions,” which represents the evolution of the previous concept, “Beyond The Gate.” Through this new concept, IPCC integrates the entire automotive logistics value chain into a connected service ecosystem, covering shipping, port/car terminal operations, land transportation, PDC/warehousing, and distribution to dealers.
Through its service network across various regions in Indonesia, IPCC delivers standardized, digitalized, and integrated end-to-end solutions, enabling customers to benefit from convenience, efficiency, and service reliability within a single unified platform.
With Integrated Auto Solutions, IPCC positions itself not only as a terminal operator but as a comprehensive automotive logistics solution provider capable of supporting the growth of Indonesia’s national automotive industry. This is aligned with IPCC’s expansion strategy for 2026.
