Mumbai, India, December 18, 2024: Kale Logistics Solutions (Kale) announced that it has successfully conducted its debut maritime thought leadership summit – VANTAGE POINT at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from November 26-27, 2024. Organised as an invite-only event, the summit witnessed maritime thought leaders from across ten countries actively taking part in this summit.
This two-day event brought together visionaries from the International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH), International Port Community Systems Association (IPCSA), global regulatory bodies, and major ports worldwide to exchange transformative insights, explore cutting-edge innovations, and shape the future of Maritime logistics. Industry delegates from Malaysia, Brunei, Djibouti, Philippines, India, Togo, Switzerland, Algeria, and UAE actively participated in the event.
These two days discuss strategies to handle global disruptions, maritime 4.0, building maritime and port supply chain resilience, new opportunities on the horizon, and best practices in maritime operations and ports of tomorrow. Also, a special session on UNCTAD Review of Maritime Transport 2024 was conducted by Hassiba Benamara, Economic Affairs Officer, Transport Division, UNCTAD.
Speaking at the event, Vineet Malhotra, Co-founder and Director, Kale Logistics Solutions, said, “This summit served as a fog light for the industry, illuminating pathways for innovation and collaboration. The actionable insights shared here will shape the future of maritime logistics.”

Nico De Cauwer, Secretary General – International Port Community Systems Association, said, “It was remarkable to see each and every one in the room. Of course, the general takeaway and challenge is digital transformation, but it’s filled in by the different people here who gather today in a different way. They’re using different technologies for the one, it’s digital twin, which is a priority for the others, it’s AI. Therefore, it’s remarkable to see that for everyone, digital transformation is at the head of the agenda.”
“The different angles and perspectives which the various people have when it comes to the main challenges of the digital transformation for their environment are very insightful in the discussions to shape the maritime digital future. Also, we have port authorities and PCS operators gathered here, so it is beneficial for both parties to exchange these ideas when discussing mutual challenges”, he added further.
The summit explored the transformative impact of digitisation, including PCS, blockchain, and IoT, on efficiency and sustainability. Experts discussed green energy transitions, such as LNG-powered vessels and renewable energy, alongside disruptive innovations like big data and predictive analytics. Collaboration emerged as a central theme, with Malaysia’s national single window initiative showcased as a model for standardisation and trade facilitation.
Kale has spearheaded air cargo thought leadership through its CLEAR VIEW summit for the past few years. The fifth edition of CLEAR VIEW took place in Istanbul this year. Built on similar lines, VANTAGE POINT will now be the voice of the maritime sector.
