Mumbai, India, 14 June, 2024: Kale Logistics Solutions (Kale), a global vertical SaaS logistics platform provider aligning with its organisational commitment to environmental sustainability hosted the “Sowing Seeds, Growing Hope” campaign for its employees on World Environment Day – 05th of June 2024.
The event was held at Thane office in collaboration with the NGO, Environmentalist Foundation of India (E.F.I), and various employees across hierarchies joined hands and actively participated in the initiative.
“Sowing Seeds, Growing Hope” campaign aimed to raise awareness about environmental conservation and promote biodiversity. Participants actively created seed balls, a mixture of bamboo seeds and soil compressed into small balls. These seed balls will be planted in public spaces across Thane city which are devoid of any vegetation, ultimately contributing to more green land patches in the city.
Through its range of tech products, Kale is transforming the logistics industry into a paperless ecosystem. Traditionally, moving a single shipment requires over 40 documents, 100 copies of paper, and150 signatures, making the logistics and supply chain industry highly paper intensive. Kale has been instrumental in 90% documentation reduction for cross-border trade at airports and ports where it engages. With Kale’s Cargo Community System an airport/port can potentially save 1200-1500 trees annually.
The collaboration with the Environmentalist Foundation of India (E.F.I) added a valuable dimension to the campaign, leveraging their expertise in ecological restoration to maximise the impact of our efforts.
