Our client is a major international airport in Western India and is among the top 10 busiest airports in the country. It serves as the hub for major airlines and is largely connected with international destinations. High value cargo such as gold, silver, diamonds etc. are transported to international destinations through this airport as a hub. Gradually, it is emerging as a hub for perishable cargo movement too in Western India.
Despite being the major airport in India and handling high value cargo, the airport faced a major dent in growth potential due to multiple challenges. The major challenge was that of revenue leakage, lack of integration and operational delays. Hence, a smart solution to overcome these challenges was the need of the hour.
Kale’s flagship airport cargo management system – GALAXY was chosen for its comprehensive offerings, which go beyond terminal operations to include an integrated solution for the community which would empower the terminal operators with critical information about incoming shipments, enabling them to plan effectively. Key functionalities such as billing, finance interface, EDI Messages Interface, GST Interface, SLA, and BI support daily operations were offered that made GALAXY a well-rounded solution for the airport.
It effectively transformed the airport’s operations by converting manual paperwork processes into a system-driven solution. This transition allowed for easy tracking of shipment details and generating reports, providing valuable insights into cargo tonnages and overall operations.

Implementing GALAXY at our airport has paid off. The shift from manual to automated and AI driven processes has significantly improved efficiency of overall operations and transparency. Real-time tracking and data-driven insights have empowered us to make informed decisions, enhancing overall cargo management. We look forward to becoming the number one airport in India in terms of cargo tonnage in the near future.
